Step 1

Check your fireplace insert's opening dimensions for the opening height and width. This can be found in the insert's user manual or spec sheet. If you are not sure, an approximate estimation will be fine.

Check if your insert is raised from the floor. This is the distance from the floor to the bottom of the fireplace opening. If you are not sure, an approximate estimation will be fine.
